Angola Week in India – Football Match on 15TH November 2025

On November 15, 2025, the Embassy of Angola in India hosted a friendly football match to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Angola, officially observed on November 11, 2025.

The match featured the national team of Angola competing against the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The proceedings concluded with a final score of 5-2 in favor of the DRC. Following the match, the commemorative medals and the trophy were formally presented to the participating teams by First Secretaries Joana Afonso and Carla Gomes, and Third Secretary Jurema de Barros.
