Roundtable Conference On Seafood Export Promotion, On 21st of January 2025

On January 21, 2026, the Department of Fisheries, under the aegis of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, and the Ministry of Minority Affairs, organized a prestigious Roundtable Conference with Ambassadors from strategic partner nations. The forum, which was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, served as a strategic platform for exchanging perspectives on India’s growing seafood sector and exploring new avenues for international cooperation.
During his intervention, His Excellency Ambassador Clemente Camenha highlighted the significant progress in bilateral relations between India and Angola. He specifically noted the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on fisheries, aquaculture, and marine resource management, signed in November 2025.
This landmark agreement was finalized during the historic State Visit of the Honorable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, to Angola. Ambassador Camenha reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to the full implementation of this MoU, emphasizing a shared vision to deepen existing cooperation and unlock new socio-economic benefits for both nations.
